2nd Annual Law Day Essay Contest Announced

The Kane County Office of the Chief Judge, 16th Judicial Circuit, announces its 2nd Annual Law Day Essay Contest​. The contest is open to all Spring 2026 Sophomores and Juniors attending high school in Kane County, and is accepting applications beginning March 2 through 4:30 p.m. on April 10. In addition to strengthening a college application, the Kane County Bar Foundation​ has donated a $500 first place prize and $250 second and third place prizes for the winners in each category, Sophomore and Junior. 

What is Law Day?

Law Day, sponsored by the American Bar Association, is an annual event held on May 1 celebrating the rule of law and how the legal process protects liberty, promotes justice, and supports the freedoms Americans share.
