Jury Commission Room Relocates to Improve Accessibility and Serve Local Legal Community
The Kane County Jury Commission Room has officially moved from Room 230 to Room 122 at the Kane County Courthouse in an effort to better serve the public and support the legal community.
The new location on the first floor offers improved accessibility for jurors, especially those with mobility challenges. The move is part of the Court’s ongoing efforts to create a more welcoming and efficient experience for all who serve.
“Relocating the Jury Commission Room to the first floor allows us to be more accessible to the public,” said Jason Mathis, Deputy Court Administrator. “We want to ensure that everyone who walks into the courthouse—whether they’re here to serve on a jury or need assistance—can find us easily and feel comfortable.”
In addition to the improved location for jurors, the transition frees up Room 230 to be repurposed into a dedicated space for local attorneys. The newly envisioned space will provide a quiet, functional area where members of the legal community can work, prepare, or consult with clients while at the courthouse.
This move reflects the Court’s continued commitment to enhancing public service and supporting the professionals who keep the justice system running smoothly in Kane County.
